180 years after it was founded in 1824, Maison Seguin-Manuel has been enjoying a makeover since it was taken over in 2004 by Thibaut Marion. Coming from a family of winegrowers, working the vine and wine for 10 generations in Burgundy, he cut his teeth for 7 years in the family house Chanson Père & Fils. He now puts his experience and his energy at the service of the great wines of Burgundy. The range has thus considerably widened with the acquisition of new vines and new supply contracts. Everything is implemented at Seguin-Manuel to allow the balance of the wines to express themselves without artifice. Each cuvée aims to translate its original climate with naturalness and panache. Initially located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, new plots have been added to the estate since 2005 in the villages of Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault and Vosne-Romanée. In the vineyard: biological control (certification since the 2015 vintage), plowing of the soil, control of yields with short pruning and green harvesting, leaf stripping, manual harvesting in small boxes. In the cellar: double sorting of the harvest on the table, natural fermentation in vats, temperature control, aging in a park of rejuvenated and renewed oak barrels, bottling with light filtration at the best time for the wine.
