Roland Velich is a winegrower with deep convictions and an even deeper knowledge of the roots of his vineyard and the wine tradition of Austria and Hungary. His wines, made from the Blaufränkisch grape variety, have a strong affinity with the Burgundian Pinot Noir. Working with this grape variety on very old vines with low yields, he practices a meticulous sorting of his harvests, cultivates following a minimal chemical treatment, uses natural yeasts for the fermentation, often in open tanks and does not use new barrels.
