1987: The flower with the rifle. The story of Clos d'Elle begins: Claude, a 23-year-old son of grocers, on his return from the army, throws himself body and soul into viticulture. Motivated by this passion that has driven him from a very young age, he cultivates his crops tirelessly, season after season, harvest after harvest and pools the fruit of his labor in the communal cooperative cellar. 2009: Everything for good wine Now a seasoned farm manager, at the head of a vineyard of nearly 50 hectares in the AOC Languedoc, his dream of becoming an independent producer comes to fruition. 2009 is the year of our very first vintage. . That year, after more than 20 years of winemaker work, Claude, father of three children Mathieu, Benjamin & Coralie, vinified his own vintages in order to pass on his know-how and his love of grapes to you. Since 2018 the estate has been in organic farming conversion. With his determination, he undertook the creation of the small private cellar that you know today, and gave the estate the name "Clos d'Elle" in honor of his youngest, then barely 6 years old, without losing sight of the hope that one day his sons will claim their winegrower origins and join him on the farm.
