Château Fontainebleau is located in the commune of Val, between Brignoles and Cotignac, in the Haut Var. In the heart of green Provence, a preserved Eden, bordered by forests, bathed in light; a land of exception enchanted by the abundance of water - springs, rivers, waterfalls -, omnipresent even in the name of the estate. Fontainebleau is also the story of a dormant land, a forgotten terroir... Until the arrival of Jean-Louis Bouchard, who acquired the estate in 2009, and entrusted its reins to oenologist Valérie Courrèges in 2013. Together, they worked on the rebirth of a great vineyard. This 150 hectare estate (including 27 hectares of vines) is rooted in a unique terroir made up of "red pelites", a tasty soil rich in aromas, which gives the wine a unique complexity and character. The "amphitheater" shape of the site accentuates this phenomenon by giving the vines a cool microclimate. It allows to preserve all the finesse, freshness, and balance of expression inherent to the great wines of Provence.
